Kritter Kastle Dog Kennel is located just outside of Green Lake, Wisconsin, a peaceful area known for its natural beauty and small-town charm. For owner Amanda, this setting is more than just a place of business — it’s home. Amanda grew up in Green Lake, spending her childhood surrounded by nature and animals, developing a lifelong passion for caring for pets of all kinds.
Her first job working with Larson’s Famous Clydesdales sparked an even deeper connection to animal care. From grooming and feeding to understanding the personalities of these gentle giants, Amanda discovered early on that working with animals was not just something she enjoyed — it was who she was.
Committed to turning her passion into a lifelong career, Amanda earned her college degree with a major in biology and a minor in captive wildlife, giving her a strong foundation in animal behavior, health, and proper handling. After college, she knew she wanted to stay close to her roots and continue serving the Green Lake community she loved.
That dream became a reality on December 31, 2016, when Amanda purchased Kritter Kastle. From the moment she stepped into the facility, she knew it was exactly what she had been searching for — a place where her love for animals, her education, and her connection to the area could all come together.
Today, Kritter Kastle is more than a dog kennel; it’s a trusted, welcoming space where pets can enjoy a safe and comfortable “vacation” while their families are away. Under Amanda’s leadership, the facility has grown into a warm, reliable home-away-from-home for dogs and cats from Green Lake, Rosendale, and surrounding communities.
Amanda’s commitment to compassionate care, cleanliness, and comfort ensures that every pet is treated like family. Whether guests are here for dog boarding, cat boarding, grooming, or daycare, Amanda and her team work hard to create a positive, stress-free environment that both pets and their owners can feel good about.

Robert is a NYC native from the Upper East Side and takes care of our pups in Astroria, Queens. He grew up with hamsters, fish and cats. In his free time, he loves to read, explore and do photography.
